My video preview isn't showing anything
You can try to resart the preview stream by tapping the question mark in the top right, and then tapping "Restart Video Preview." If that doesn't work, you can try rebooting the SBS server.
My iPad won't load the SBS app
First, check that you are on the correct Wi-Fi and have entered the valid IP address. Your integrator should have provided these for you. Unfortunately, sometimes IOS updates can corrupt our app, so you may need to delete the app entirely and reinstall it from the app store.
The DirecTV boxes are not communicating with the system
The DirecTV boxes use the network to communicate with SBS, so you may need to reboot the boxes, and also possibly reboot the DECA unit, which is a small DirecTV device that converts Ethernet to coax. If you have recently reset or replaced any receivers, you will need to confirm the IP address is set correctly and that the "view current program" option is set to allow.
The whole system is off or frozen
The first thing to check is to make sure that the SBS server is powered on. The SBS server will be mounted in the equipment rack. You should see the lights blinking on the front right. If not the top button can be pressed to turn the server on. You may also need to hard reboot the SBS server. You can do this by holding the top button until all the lights are off, and then pressing it one more time.
The touchscreen is not responding
Check the USB connection, which plugs into the bottom of the touchscreen and into the back of the SBS server. If it still isn't responding, you could plug a mouse into the SBS server to get control, and then try to reboot the SBS server.
Target a bigger audience with more control over what's on TV at all times.
